Attachment is the emotional bond between us and our caregivers. We are influenced by our family of origin regardless of how “good” our childhood was. In order to change the present, we must engage the past.
Together, we’ll explore early relationships with caregivers, family dynamics, and significant childhood experiences. What’s unresolved or unprocessed in the past, can impact the present.

Trauma is experienced by external situations such as war, sickness, and overt forms of abuse. AND, it can also experienced in close relationship. Ongoing abuse (sexual, emotional, physical), abandonment and enmeshment wreaks havoc on the soul.
Unaddressed or unprocessed trauma (wounds) are not stuck in the past. They affect us presently and show up as unwanted behavior, relational issues, shame, etc.

TRAUMA INFORMED
“Trauma is not what happens to you; trauma is what happens inside you as a result of what happens to you.” - Gabor Maté
Our emotions are experienced in our bodies. Our brain then makes sense of our felt experience and often categorizes it as “good” or “bad.” The problem with that is we learn to disconnect from our body and spend majority of the time in our head.
Our bodies can’t lie to us, but our brain can. Together, we will learn to integrate your body, mind, and spirit (heart) so you can show up with your whole self.
